About Me
Hey there, I'm Marjolein from the Netherlands, thats not easy to pronounce I know, so Maru will do in order to prevent internal damage on your part.
I am currently 19 and focus on
I enjoy talking to interesting people, so brand new, midlife crisis or already a bit dated feel free to chat me any time given.
Really, mental age is what it's all about.
Experience and wisdom may come by the years but there is no standard to measure such a thing.
I'm not an emo, goth, punk or anything else but myself and I don't need a label either, however, I have no problem with people who do.
To give you an idea on who I actually think I am, continue reading ;3
Hmm things I enjoy:
Drawing, reading books and manga, digital art, dreaming, watching anime collecting swords and similar things, computers and most of what comes with it, gaming, martial arts and volleyball, poetry, writing, music, Asian culture, English language, deviant fashion. Serious or completely random conversations anything goes. Traveling not tourism. And I don't mind a good grudge less discussion either ^_~
Things I Dislike:
Close minded people, ignorant judgments based on age gender or style. Racism, discrimination and I hope you're sane enough to fill in the rest yourself. And of course dealing with people who feel offended by anything listed above and start flaming me for nothing: Hint! >.>
The things that currently keep me busy are improving my English, practicing realistic drawing and my work as an IT student in Application Development/ Information Management and ultimately Graphic Designer.
This site is my inspiration and has great examples of true originality and out of the box thinking art-wise.
I'm a deviantArt member under the same name but my account is merely a backup for my work rather than a review point.
More to come, it was about time I updated this...

Hmmm, well if you like computer systems and you like photography...maybe you should get into some engineering type or something. I actually work with Satellite photography/data and Digital Aerial photography as part of my current job all the time. A colleague of mine is designing an underwater camera system do some neat stuff. Both require heavy computer skills yet don't restrict to sitting at a desk all day.Well since I'm still on high school I don't really have plans just yet. But what I do have planned is going to a college wich is specialized in everything concerning computers and network systems. After that I don't really like the idea of ending up in an office so reading about marine science made me intersted. Now you explained this, I could follow the ICT college and contineu to specialize into any technical isseus underwater. An other option would be doing something with photography.
Unfortunately, the harsh reality is...if you want to just do computer work, especially the networking aspect, you're going to find yourself at a desk unless you are a field technician who installs cable and things like that. Of course, you have plenty of time to look at this kind of thing and to look into career options and possibilities...and since I'm more of a science kind of guy, I'm not so sure what there is for tech type of jobs.
Well, marine science is a pretty broad field of study (anything dealing with the ocean in any way), but I specialize in marine geology which deals with things such as beaches, barrier islands, the sea floor, and underwater earthquakes that sometimes trigger tsunamis. But a person with a degree in marine science should also be well versed in biology (aquatic plants and animals), marine chemistry (the components of sea water and how they effect sea life, humans, and world climate), and physical oceanography (the study of things such as how the ocean circulates different things and how that can affect climate...think El Nino and the movie "The Day After Tomorrow").But I want to ask you something to, what do you study when you say 'Marine science'? I'm just kind of intersted, theres no need to replie if you don't want to.
That's a really simplified explanation over some of the different areas of study under the broad degree of Marine Science, but hopefully this answers your question. :D
Are you thinking of going to college? If so, what do you think you might be interested in?
First of all I have added you to my friends list^^
The second thing is the word you asked about. "Janai" is something close to "It's not". "Nai" is used in the end of and word if it's something you DON'T want to do. Opposite does "Tai" in the end of a word means that it is something you WANT to do. Example:
Tabe= To eat. Tabenai= Won't eat. Tabetai= Want to eat.
So if you hear "Janai" in a sentence it could possible mean "It's not that" or "It wasn't meant like that".
Example. "Koitsu" means "That" or an very informal way to say "That person". So "Koitsu janai" becomes "It's not that person".
I'm not 100% sure of the correctness of this answer, but it's not 100% off ^^
I hope you could use it (If you haven't the answer in the meantime^^). But if you have then all is fine :P
See ya later :3
Thank you
